FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is tallow skincare?

Tallow is rendered beef fat traditionally used in skincare for its nourishing fatty acid profile and skin-compatible moisture.

Does it smell like beef fat?

No. Properly rendered tallow has a very mild scent and our products are thoughtfully scented or unscented depending on the product.

Is tallow good for sensitive skin?

Tallow closely resembles the skin's natural oils, making it especially gentle and supportive for many skin types.

Is your tallow grass-fed?

Yes, we use grass-fed tallow in our products.

How should I store my products?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

Are your products whipped?

Yes. Our tallow creams are whipped for a soft, smooth texture that melts beautifully into the skin.

How long does a jar last?

A little goes a long way. With regular use, most jars last several weeks to a few months depending on usage.

Are your products made in small batches?

Yes. Every product is thoughtfully handmade in small batches in New Mexico

Are your products all natural?

We use intentionally chosen ingredients and avoid unnecessary fillers.

Can tallow melt in heat?

Yes. Because our products are made with natural ingredients, exposure to high temperatures may soften or melt the product. Texture changes do not affect quality.

Shipping during warm weather

Because our products are made with natural tallow, softening may occur during warmer months or during transit. To help protect your order, we may include insulated packaging or ice packs when temperatures require it.

If your product arrives softened, simply place it upright at room temperature or in the refrigerator until it firms back up. Texture changes do not affect the quality or benefits of the product.
